AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants Make a Difference in Performance
Long-Lasting Service:
AMSOIL lubricants have a long service life. Non-synthetic lubes can break down from oxidation and heat. When that happens, they sludge-up, form deposits and have to be changed more often.
AMSOIL Lubricants resist breakdown, so they stay intact and run clean. This resistance to heat and oxidation prolongs the service life of AMSOIL, significantly extending drain intervals.
Low Temperature Fluidity/High Temperature Stability:
AMSOIL Lubricants resist the effects of heat and cold far better than non-synthetic lubricants. AMSOIL Synthtics will make the difference when starting an engine that's cold, and cooling an engine that's hot!
Rust and Corrosion Protection:
AMSOIL contains special additives to prevent rust and corrosion -- a vital factor for equipment tat sits idle or is stored for part fo the year.
Anti-Friction:
AMSOIL Lubricants are "super-slippery". They are extremely effective in reducing friction and drag between moving parts, resulting in reduced wear, more efficient operation and better fuel economy.
Versatile For Most Applications:
In most cases, AMSOIL Lubricants eliminate the need for specialty lubes. AMSOIL Products meet or exceed the performance specifications of a wide variety of farm machinery.
AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils
Outstanding Performance at Extreme Temperatures:
AMSOIL Flows in the Cold
Non-synthetic oils thicken rapidly as the temperature drops. In cold weather, this causes difficult starting as the engine fights to turn over against the semi-solid lubricant. And even if the engine starts, the cold thick oil will not circulate immediately, which means some parts of your engine can run for up to five minutes without any lubrication at all.
AMSOIL stays fluid at much lower temperatures. In cold weather, AMSOIL permits easier starting and instant lubrication throughout the entire engine. during starts and warm-ups, critical engine surfaces slide, protected by a tough, reliable film of oil between them.

AMSOIL Takes the Heat
A hard-working engine generates tremendous heat, a serious problem for non-synthetic lubricants. Oil thickening and oil consumption occur when high temperatures evaporate the lighter, more volatile portions of petroleum-based oil. Heat also causes chemical reactions (oxidation) in the engine, forming gummy sludges and varnishes.
AMSOIL is heat-stable! AMSOIL resists volatile evaporation and thickening at high temperatures. It resists oxidation and inhibits the formation of engine deposits.
Low volatility means reduced oil consumption. Reduced thickening promotes better fuel economy (because thick oil causes internal engine resistance) and better engine protection, especially during cold startups when thick oil doesn't circulate properly,
By resisting the formation of sludge and varnish, AMSOIL further enhances engine cleanliness and efficiency by providing a clean lubricanting film to precision engine clearances.
AMSOIL actually cools hot engines and gear boxes too, reducing stress on components and extending equipment life.
Availability:
AMSOIL Motor Oils are available in quart, gallon, and 2 1/2-gallon containers, and 30- and 55-gallon drums.
Performance:
AMSOIL 12 TBN 15W-40 Motor Oil is a fuel efficient, super-heavy-duty, multi-viscosity lubricant for use in light and heavy-duty diesel and gasoline engines. Its synthetic base stocks and proven long-life additives assures performance, economy, and outstanding protection over extended drain intervals.
Because it meets and exceeds the lubrication demands of virtually every light and heavy-duty diesel and gasoline engine, farmers with a variety of vehicles need only stock this one "all-engine" oil for their vehicles and equipment.
Protection & Prevention:
Anti-Rust: AMSOIL 15W-40 contains special rust and corrosion inhibitors to protect against internal rust, an important feature for applications in equipment stored for long periods, such as farm tractors.
Anti-Deposits: Broken-down viscosity index (VI) improvers are a major cause of deposits in diesel engines. The results are increased wear and reduced efficiency. AMSOIL 15W-40 Motor Oil prevents deposit build-up. It delivers tough multi-viscosity performance to keep engines running clean and at peak efficiency.
 AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes
(75W-90, 80W-90, 75W-140, 80W-140)
Farmers need to cut costs wherever and whenever they can. AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes save money by making drive trains operate as efficiently as possible, for as long as possible.
Reduce Friction:
AMSMOIL synthetic Gear Lubes are blended with outstanding anti-friction and anti-wear properties. Friction and drag in transmissions and differentials steal energy. Lost energy translates into less power and poor fuel economy. The superior "slipperiness" of AMSOIL Gear Lubes makes gear boxes run cooler and easier. Components move with less resistance, even under heavy loads. Transmission parts last longer and the saved energy is transmitted to the wheels, making full use of every gallon of fuel.
Reduce Wear:
The outstanding anti-fricition properties of AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes keep wear at an absolute minimum. The results: greater equipment reliability and less money spent on repairs, replacement parts, and costly downtime. AMSOIL helps keep equipment in the field and out of the shop!
 AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Oil Filters
The AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Oil Filter is the ultimate in effective and convenient oil filtration. The unique spin-on by-pass cartridges are quick and easy to service. And because it is a by-pass system, the filter cleans oil thoroughly, removing particles as small a 1/10 of a micron. In fact, the AMSOIL By-Pass removes virtually all harmful dirt particles from engine oil reducing wear, extending the life of the oil and allowing equipment to run cooler and more efficient. The AMSOIL By-Pass even removes water. Dual filter systems are available for large capacity sumps.
AMSOIL Synthetic Greases
AMSOIL Synthetic Greases are recommended for all types of farm applications. The Multi-Purpose and Heavy-Duty Greases both provide outstanding anti-wear protection by significantly reducing friction. They are both highly resistant to rust, corrosion, and water washout.
AMSOIL Multi-Purpose Grease is excellent for high temperature/high-speed or general applications, and is also available in a convenient spray formulation, ideal for greasing hard-to-reach equipment such as hinges, springs, linkage and many other common applications. AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Grease is especially designed for low-speed/high-load applications, where bearings, suspension points and other precision clearances are subject to extreme pressure.
AMSOIL Water Resistant Grease is formulated for applications where resistance to water washout and degradation is of concern, such as mower bearings. Unparalleled protection is provided for boat trailer wheel bearings and other components frequently exposed to water.
Additional AMSOIL Synthetic Grease products are available for applications ranging from special 5th Wheel lubricants to food grade grease. Visit our AMSOIL Grease page for additional information.

| AMSOIL Performance Improver is the most potent gasoline additive available today. As a concentrated detergent, it is unsurpassed in cleaning combustion chamber deposits, intake valve deposits and port fuel injector deposits. AMSOIL PI helps maintain peak engine efficiency, fuel economy, power and drivability in newer low mileage engines. In engines with accumulated deposits, testing showed AMSOIL PI provided the following clean-up benefits after only one tank of gasoline:
- Improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%
- Reduced emissions
- hydrocarbons (HC) up to 15%
- carbon monoxide (CO) up to 26%
- nitrous oxides (NOx) up to 17%
- Restored power and performance
- Reduced need for costly higher octane fuel
- Reduced noise from carbon rap and pre-ignition
- Better drivability
- Smoother operation
AMSOIL PI works as an “emissions passer.” It is ideal for use prior to emissions inspections. Unsurpassed Deposit Clean-up Port Fuel Injector Deposits form after the engine has been shut down and there is no gasoline flowing through the injectors. During this “hot soak” period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of “atomized” fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions. |

Gasoline Stabilizer
Prevents Fuel Deterioration
AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer keeps fuel from deteriorating during storage. Fuel stored for long periods of time will begin to deteriorate causing varnish and gum in fuel systems and storage tanks. These contaminants can clog injectors, stick floats and simply cause poor engine performance and/or costly engine repair. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer reduces the oxidation process which prevents fuel from deteriorating during storage. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer allows easier start-ups and is ideal for any two- or four-stroke, gasoline or diesel engine.
Just one ounce of AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer mixed well with every 2.5 gallons of fuel, stabilizes gasoline or diesel fuel for storage. Most users will find that running the engine for four to five minutes with treated fuel provides the best results.
AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Functional Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid
Improves Performance and Reliability . . . Saves Time and Money
Most hydraulic/transmission failures are caused by contamination or breakdown of the hydraulic fluid. Excess heat, caused by unused horsepower and the severe stresses of torque, is a major enemy of hydraulic/transmission fluids. Non-synthetic hydraulic fluids are likely to oxidize when exposed to the extreme environments of tractor transmissions and hydraulic systems. Oxidation leads to the formation of acids, varnish and sludge deposits. This can thicken oil, reduce lubricating abilities, accelerate wear, and lead to overheating and catastrophic component failures.
AMSOIL Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid (ATH) is made up of thermally stable and chemically resistant synthetic base stocks and premium quality additives which provide superior protection against rust and corrosion (critical for farm machinery in off-season storage).
AMSOIL ATH is highly resistant to heat breakdown and chemical changes. It is a better "carrier" for heat transfer, so equipment runs 20 deg, to 50 deg. F cooler. Hoses last much longer. All of this means more efficient and economical operation, with less maintenance and profit-stealing downtimes.
The durability of AMSOIL ATH allows drain intervals 2 to 3 times longer than conventional fluids. This saves time, effort and money because you buy fluid less often. Cooler operation with AMSOIL ATH increases fuel economy, dependability and equipment life, especially for hoses, which are susceptible to heat rupture.
AMSOIL Multi-Puroose Synthetic Hydraulic/Transmission fluid is specifically designed for outstanding performance in modern farm tractors and hydrostatic drive machinery. Whether it is used in the transmission, final drive or in the hydraulic system, AMSOIL ATH delivers superior protection and service: better lubrication for less wear, more positive control and reliability; longer service life for cost savings (in replacement fluid and time spent away from the field); vastly superior cold and hot temperature performance for easy cold weather start-ups, faster warm-ups and over-all cooler operation.
AMSOIL Multi-Purpose Synthetic Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid is available in 5-gallon pails, and 30- and 55-gallon drums.
AMSOIL Saved These Farmers Time and Money!
I started using AMSOIL in the spring of 1983. Using AMSOIL SAE 30 Diesel Oil and the AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filter, we run 900 hours between oil change son the 160 PH Case and 700 hours in our 120 HP deutz Allis air-cooled. I used the AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic Oil in my Massey 510 combine on a 2-year oil change schedule. I am very pleased I was introduced to AMSOIL Products.
W. D., Richfield, KS,
I used AMSOIL Sythetic Engine Oil, Synthetic Multi-Purpose Hydraulc Fluid, and the AMSOIL 80W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube in my two Deere tractors, my 855 Steiger, and my N6 Allis combine. I also use the AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filters and change oil once a year. Our farm uses nothing but AMSOIL and we are happy ith the results. There is a large difference in performance bweteen petroleum oil and AMSOIL, as well as a lot of money and time saved.
H. I., Hooker, OK
I started using AMSOIL in 1975, and right off I could see the difference so I put it in everything on the farm. I use AMSOIL 10W-40 Synthetic Oil in my 6 tractors -- 3 Internationals and 3 John Deeres -- and in my Massey combine. we use the AMSOIL 15W-40 in our two semis, a Mack and a Detroit engine, along with the related AMSOIL Synthetic Lubes inthe transmissions and differentials. AMSOIL 75W-90 Gear Lube is in the irrigation gear heads and this has lowered the fluid temperatures considerably. we are 100% AMSOIL and plan on staying that way.
W.B., Richfield, KS,
The AMSOIL Multi-Purpose Synthetic Tractor Transmission and Hydraulic Fluid has not been changed in our two large tractors since installing it in 1982. One of our irrigation engines runs all year with no oil change using AMSOIL and the AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filter. AMSOIL 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube is used in the gear heads on a 5-year change period. My records show that I'm saving 58 cents on the dollar on lube cost between the cost of AMSOIL and petroleum lubes.
S.P., Copeland, KS
We have been using AMSOIL totally since 1974. We farm separately but do, on occasion, interchange some machinery. Between us we have four large 4-wheel drive John Deere tractors from 200 to 400 HP. We use AMSOIL in all the tractors and the combine, and the AMSOIL By-Pass Filters, too. We change oil once a year in the early spring. We have not figured our real savings by using AMSOIL, but for sure it's a strong 50 cents on the dollar over petroleum oil, and saving a lot of labor on very little downtime. There is no way we could afford to go back to pertroleum, even if it was given to us free.
