Hart's Lubricant World recently reported that the "do-it-for-me" sector of the oil change market has grown to nearly 50 percent of all consumers, significantly up from 28 percent in 1984 and 41 percent in 1995. Other polls show that over the past ten years the trend is away from do-it-yourself oil changes in the passenger car market.
