    Oil Analyzers Inc.

Oil Analyzers, Inc., provides important insight to what's going on inside your engine, ensuring a long life for your vehicle.

Prevention and prediction are common buzz words in the motor oil industry, and rightly so. There's no use waiting for a problem to damage an engine before rectifying the situation. It's much more cost effective to prevent and predict problems utilizing methods like analysis. Oil Analyzers, Inc., allows motorists, racers, fleet owners and others to do just that.

Used oil analysis is the process of looking at an oil sample to spot mechanical wear and contaminants. These contaminants could include metals, water, raw fuel, acids, fuel soot and other solids. Early detection of such contaminants in the oil can extend machine life and stave off high maintenance costs and downtime.

According to Technical Service Manager Byron Selbrede, oil analysis is an important part of vehicle maintenance. "Oil analysis lets you know exactly what's going on inside an engine. It lets you know how your lubricant is performing before a catastrophic problem occurs."

Selbrede says people often ask what the purpose of oil analysis is -- especially when a vehicle is getting proper oil changes. "Just because you get the oil changed in your vehicle, doesn't mean you know if the lubricant is performing properly," said Selbrede.

The Oil Analysis Program at OAI is relatively simple. First, a sampling kit must be purchased (Click Here for more info on purchasing oil analysis kits). The kit includes a sample container, sample information form, postage-paid mailer (in the U.S. and Puerto Rico) and complete sampling and mailing instructions.

The customer collects an oil sample and mails it to the OAI lab. The analysis is then conducted, testing viscosity, fuel dilution, water, dirt content, fuel soot contamination, plus spectrochemical analysis for 21 trace elements to determine component wear, air-borne dirt, anti-freeze contamination and oil additive concentrations.

Oil AnalysisThe results of the analysis are mailed, faxed or phoned in a timely manner. Selbrede says OAI gives customers only honest results. "We're not biased about any oil. We'll tell you if your oil's good or bad no matter what kind it is."

Mark Pusen of Superior Performance Enterprises in Monroe, Georgia, was a recent customer of OAI. "Oil Analyzers, Inc. has been a great asset to our business," said Pusen. "Many of our accounts have semi-trucks running nonstop which demand fast accurate oil analysis. Oil Analyzers, Inc., gives us just that. The results of the tests are not only supplied to us quickly, but the results are the most complete of any oil analysis company that we've dealt with. Oil Analyzers, Inc., test results include TBN and Nox, tests other companies charge extra to run.

"We also serve race car drivers who need fast, accurate analysis. Again, Oil Analyzers, Inc. delivers," said Pusen.

Selbrede points out that oil analysis is not just for owners of large fleets. He says it's for the average motorist as well. In fact, he says oil analysis can provide information for any equipment or component that uses lubrication -- gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, gears, bearings and hydraulic systmes. It can be utilized by owners of passenger cars, fleets, off-highway equipment, boats or high performance vehicles. Industrial businesses can also greatly benefit from oil analysis.
