Don't Mess with Moly!
According to Lubricants World (Oct. '99), "MoS2 [molybdenum disulfide] in its powdered form is unsurpassed in its extreme load-carrying capacity (as high as 500,000 psi). When placed under load, the crystalline structure forms laminar platelets, which readily burnish onto metal surfaces. The smooth surface that results has very low friction and a very wide operating temperature range (approx. -37 deg. F to 750 deg. F)."
AMSOIL Heavy Duty Grease (GHD) is fortified with Moly, and it's performance is evident in heavy duty applications. GHD is best suited for slower moving bushing-type bearings, such as loader bucket bushings in the construction industry or spring hangers on heavy-duty trucks.
